James Woodcock

James is an architect and engineer, and founder of the Sheffield-based studio Field Practice.

His work focuses on making ecologically-ambitious design accessible on modest budgets, to improve our everyday surroundings and affect positive change. James' prior experience spans the building design disciplines and includes work on the redevelopment of BBC Television Centre and the UK's first zero-carbon primary school.

James holds a Masters degree from the University of Sheffield and further postgraduate qualifications from London Metropolitan University and University College London. In his spare time James enjoys electronic music, DIY and swimming outdoors.
